The web design course gives young people the skills to be able to design and produce a website from scratch. By the end of the course young people will all have the skills to be able to offer web design as a service to clients. Each young person will get the chance to design and publish their own website to the Web. This course was designed to run in a youth club setting with young people in mind so it's highly interactive and hands on. This course consists of 5 sessions with a total of 15 hours face to face learning time but can be adapted to suit the youth clubs schedule. The skills that young people will learn will help them through their lives whether they choose to go on to web development, start their own business or strengthen their portfolio. 


Young people will gain the following skills by completing this course:

The ability to design a website from scratch 

Gain web design skills that they can put on their CV's 

Learn the skills of how to optimise a website to increase its Web traffic

 An understanding of web design and web design technology

 The ability to be able to offer web design to clients as a service 

An understanding of graphics design and producing their own graphics for websites

 Learn basics of web design programming languages like CSS and HTML


As well as gaining a vast variety of skills, this course is also accredited and each young person will be awarded an AQA certificate on completion of this course.
